Promoting office automation and providing the best
quality digital information with fast retrieval, versatile
displays, and long-term preservation.
Since there are numerous participants
in NDAP, digital content management and integration is becoming
increasingly important. As a result, in addition to organizing
an annual exhibition of achievements, building office automation
systems, maintaining the resource center, and publishing
promotional works, the Network Core Platforms Project is
developing the following core services:
- Designing an integrated information retrieval platform
– building a union catalog for digital collections.
- Making the display of digital contents more versatile,
popular, internationalized, and attractive – establishing
a public exhibition platform.
- Developing a sustainable management system for the
collections – building remote backup facilities to provide
a friendly user interface for long-term storage of digital
information. It is expected that the system will not be
influenced over time by changes in technology, software
and hardware, or storage media.
By providing these core services, the
Network Core Platforms Project assists the program office
of NDAP in establishing and maintaining the overall operation,
while integrating, maintaining, and displaying the digital
collections so that the primary goals of the NDAP can be
achieved.
